LEAP is the new project of London troubadour Jack Balfour Scott. Prior to this, Jack was a member of the renowned/recognized, “boundary-defying/crossing indie-rock” group/band The Mispers signed to Capitol Records, who ended their success story in 2018 after building a fanatical fan base with their electrifying and completely unpredictable concerts. get.

With early years spent in Edinburgh and Cape Town, and music studies in Brighton, UK, the cross-border diversity of Jack's musical background inevitably seeps into the tunes he creates with the band - resulting in an eclectic rock n roll cavalcade.

Behind the drums sits none other than the bisexual-Buddhist, multi-instrumentalist sensation, Hector Cottam. Jack and Hector have been friends since they were four years old, theirs is an unbreakable bond. Their first concert experience, the BabyShambles concert in Glasgow, which they experienced at the age of fourteen, was the catalyst for a lot of antics and musical antics.

Ripping the bass guitar strings is Declan "BullsEye" Brown, forged in the fires of Johannesburg and trained in the Camden rock scene. Her fateful meeting with Jack took place at none other than the iconic Camden club, the Hawley Arms, and their mutual interest in cheap denim goods formed the basis of their sympathy. He always bursts onto the stage with wild, raging energy and huge riffs that penetrate you to the core. Who doesn't love Barefoot Brown?

Adding to the musical equation is a young, blond-haired Jedi, Adam Mason. An immensely talented and classically trained guitarist who has contributed greatly to the development of the signature LEAP sound. Adam got a taste of acting as a child, he danced in various TV shows as a child, and now, at only 22 years old, he has already performed in front of thousands of viewers across Europe with various projects. This young star with a flaky chin has a dazzlingly bright future ahead of him!

In 2021, LEAP was actually formed, leaving the independent, "do-it-yourself" era, creating a more ambitious, sophisticated sound, through which they can confidently compete with the world's biggest indie-rock artists.

Including the single "Energies", which has been described as a kind of "moshpit-starting" anthem.

Darker and yet widely available, their 6-track debut EP '1 Million Pieces' (released in 2022) is nothing short of a revelation of the band's intentions. Undeniably catchy choruses, interwoven with rock and roll-induced extremes, and Jack's truly unique organ invite you on a journey to the dark recesses of London and his struggles with his own psyche. With the following singles - Sick Sense, Show Me The Way You Love, Sleepwalker and Exit Signs - the band surpassed one million listeners on streaming channels and received widespread support from publications and channels such as Rolling Stone, MTV, Flux FM, Earmilk, its all indie, fame magazine, BBC Radio6, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, and on and on.

With a mix of indie grunge guitar sounds, crushing rock-hard drumming, and even a hint of electronics, in the image of LEAP we can witness the early steps of a band that will have a significant impact on the scene in the near future.

They have sold-out concerts all over Europe (Vienna, Hamburg, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Basel), which followed 5 sold-out parties in London. The response to the band's explosive performances is the formation of a highly committed and ever-growing international fan base.

Location

A38 Ship

Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
